Social Media Ricardo Saldivar Blog

Integrating your personal social media platform

Couple months ago I started this blog with the idea of improving my SEO (Search Engine Optimization). When I started this project I knew little to nothing about how to do it, I started reading about improving your brand online, and with the idea of cleaning my name I started this project.

In that time, the Google search would deliver information about other Ricardos, but with a constant and consistent message I was able to slowly position my name on the internet.

After adjusting the privacy level on my Facebook account, I decided to fully integrate my social media platforms. It is a very simple and effective way to improve the SEO, you can either do it yourself or hire an external company to do it for you.

Like me, there is a good amount of people that for several reasons would like to improve their “serchability”. http://www.branyourself.com is a very simple tool that can help you to improve your online results for little money and in a short time.

If you are not interested in paying, I recommend to start a blog. The blog can be your homepage, where you can have absolutely all the information integrated in one place. In Marketing, is very important to send the same consistent message across all the communication channels, by having a blog as a home page, you can have all the links to your social media in one place and take control of your marketing message.

After integrating all links at your homepage of you blog, the second step is to take care of all social media, for example, if you would like to be a marketer, I highly recommend to start tweeting and writing about it, use the @ to push messages to the companies that interest you in twitter, and the tag system on your blog.

Think integration, one solid consistent and constant message.

For now I will leave you with my progress report. Image

In this screen you can see how in couple of months, by integrating my platforms I was able to push 5 pictures of myself to the top, sending the mugshot guy out of the screen.

And the Google search is looking even better, first on the search and 3 out of 5 pictures on top. The first link is sponsored… rats!
