Online Graphic Design: Canva

Originality is probably one of the hardest things to achieve when writing a blog. There is so much good content out there that is really hard to make a difference. That is the reason why I started thinking, how can I make my blog a little different? I realized that every time I was reading Feedly, I would always stop and read the Infographics. Colorful, attractive and presenting tons of information on a blink of an eye, they were just like a magnet to me.

The only problem with them, since I am not a graphic designer, is that hard to come up with some of the cool designs we see out there. I tried with my limited Photoshop skills to make one, but it took me a while and didn’t look pretty at all.

So when I was about to give up, I came across a tweet talking about graphic design and how to go from zero to hero in 5 minutes. I was hooked; this was exactly what I needed it. I gave it a try, clicked the link and I got directed to Canva.com

Canva is a great online tool that helps you build infographics, posters, banners, Facebook covers, anything that you could imagine. The drag and paste system makes it absolutely amazing and intuitive. Sadly, it is not free. Canva, just like a drug dealer, allows you to try it once for free, but then start charging 1 dollar per design. (The picture below was my free joint)

5 Pillars of Value Creation

To be honest, it is not cheap. I wish they were 50c a piece; anyway, regardless it is a great tool and you should check it out.

Have you try it yet?
